College Model Angels 2009 @ sunway pyramid

An evening show located at sunway pyramid in front of orange entrance, an open public of College Model Angels 2009 photo shooting and of coz with all the young college girl.
1st time using two bodies a100 and a700 for shooting, to be frank. I prefer a100 more than a700 in terms of quality of sensor. It bring the natural color and noise compare to a700. I using a100 with 50mm f1.4 and a700 with IR 100mm f1.5/ CZ 35mm f2.4. The results will be see clearly.
1. Even though the group shot was at the last, i put it at 1st. ^^ cheers~ (many photog using direct flash to model only but i insist with a brighter background.)

2.Models arrive at dawn and surround the Hummer H3.

IR 1.5/100 and CZ jena 2.4/35 at nite of the lake walk

the most challenge shooting was at night, it's was difficult to focus and even more difficult to manual focus. Since upgrade to a700 with larger viewfinder and help with minolta X700 focusing screen, more easier to use manual lense to focus even at nite. It was a small catwalk at the heritage opposite of the mines and this small event just to gain population from the link of the mines.
the test shot for IR 1.5/100

a100 vs a700!!

from a100 to a700 between 2 years. Sony a100: the First DSLR for Sony taken over Konica Minolta. a700 a higher amateur DSLR for Sony alpha. It's not fair to compare a entry level with a amateur level but both of them are using different sensor. From the very begining, CCD and cmos in difference of picture quality n of coz the cost of the product. A700 have higher advantages in terms of DR, SSS, and ISO. But using cmos, i dun think it can be replaced CCD. Here is the test result from iso100 to 1600 (iso 800 and iso1600 it's very not fair to compare with) I have 2 picture with each iso to show the sharpness, color, noise, and brightness.

It's not fair to compare started at iso800 (sony a100 have the worst ISO in DSLR) for ISO800 and ISO 1600, it just a normal routine for DSLR nowadays(entry level have more n more improvement for ISO)

prosumer style DSLR-a330

Yesterday was the First a330 available in sony center malaysia. Was called by albert for TT section and the review of the a330. That was a cheap entry level prosumer style DSLR for female market. It was small and the grip was for small hand like girl to hold.

it' was not easy to adjust the dial button in front of the normal gentlemen hands.

the card slot case was using the sliding style and on the left hand side which new design from others alpha.

the mode dial was very small (red arrow) which it's really hard to change mode with our finger/thumb. the red circle shows the selected memory card to be store picture in SD or MS.

the a mount

plastic mount oso. entry level with entry low quality DSLR.

lastly the funny thing about this whole set it's the rear lens cover was not even made from plastic but low quality so called recyclable ketchup dispenser. (black arrow)

In conclusion, a330 was a prosumers category which easy for ladies and was design for ladies to use, alot complicating setting such as built-in flash was open by using DC style software to pop up, white balance cancel the kelvin temperature (which it's most useful), AF setting hide inside the Fn button. instead of putting all outside. In my point of view, this entry level just a pathway into the DSLR territory but u'll need to upgrade to other body for more professional picture quality. Therefor it's not a very good DSLR entry level with lesser profession quality, such as the built quality and also the professional setting.
