sony experience 2013

Some Shots try at the Sony Experience 2013 @ Zebra square, not a special event for me although with some fancy car and motorbikes. The talk frankly speaking kinda boring for such an event breaker like me. I only go have a view on whats going on and any update from Sony. So i just try some shots there... and obviously for me just a portrait would be enough. 1.some snap shots inside the dark event. photo 2013-03-16_00002.jpg 2. weird lighting and does not care about the talk and continue shooting. photo 2013-03-16_00003.jpg 3.as usual, cars with girls photo 2013-03-17_00004.jpg 4. just be simple photo 2013-03-17_00005.jpg 5. photo 2013-03-17_00006.jpg 6.tight compo photo 2013-03-17_00008.jpg 7. a test with STF bokeh photo 2013-03-17_00007.jpg 8. photo 2013-03-17_00011.jpg 9.last but not least, the comparison of STF in small aperture smooth bokeh photo compare.jpg

a test of pre-launch from sony @ KLPF

This year of KLPF "Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival", Sony bring new weapon that still not so attractive to other users - A99. After long waited Fullframe since a900 and a850, the 1st fullframe SLT camera announce and be ready to use. Playing and abusing this sony most advance professional camera in order to true judge this camera whether improve or just another cover story... some quite related technology from a77 and enhance the professional video need, still quite disappointing with the video but still ok for me because I still don't want into video yet. This a99 hopefully will resolved my a700 problem for and push all my fullframe true gem into another stage for more excited photoz. 1. Photobucket 2. Recent portraiture to test the soft G

Since the G being accuse too soft and not worthy. Let's put a test on this G to show what this G softness about. Mainly this 35mm f1.4 G is a ideal wide large aperture portrait lens for most of the environment. Therefore. let's see what this lens capable of and are the lens ideal for portrait or not.

Legendary lens that forgotten

From what I was learn in Architecture school. There was an argument about timeless design and to be define without any reference to the pass and history. It reminds me the greatest Minolta was sadly purchased by Sony which really market is a bitch by brainwashed consumer.

The timeless design refer to the design of the legendary lens such as 35mm f1.4 G, 85mm f1.4 G, 70-210 f4 beercan and etc... which the only few lenses carry out with new version from Minolta to Sony.

Those existed shadow of Minolta in Sony will be those first batch of DSLR territory from Sony. There will be the 16mm f2.8 Fish eye, 20mm f2.8, 35mm f1.4 G, 50mm f1.4, 135mm STF, 70-200 2.8 G and last the only AF reflex 500mm f8.

It's been five years since the first sony DSLR A100 first announced to the world. Many changes have been made but not well development. Thus ironically the market still enlarge.... maybe this really like create to satisfy to all type of consumers.

One of the legendary lens that made by sony and the most being forgotten is the 35mm f1.4 G

With unique floating element and the G quality which create the most creamy bokeh and portraiture softness that impress and poison me to hunt for this lens.

The originate batch together with the first sony DSLR - a100.

The low profile G

The close distance shots of Pentax K5, the impressive floating element create the creamy bokeh and more closer shots.
Photobucket

The size to compare the 50mm f1.4 and minolta 28-85. I would say light and small which i alway prefer to carry around.
Photobucket

Test shots for sharpness and DOF bokeh.. awesome 3D effect to highlight the focus subject with creamy blurred background.
Photobucket

easier for shots with background composition even in APS-C size.
Photobucket

easier to highlight the subject with more background for composition.
Photobucket

inherit the minolta color and the proper softness.
Photobucket

the sharpenss still there....
Photobucket

not so hightlighted but a slight sharpness on the subject.
Photobucket

quite perfect for portrait shots with softness without touch up
Photobucket

highlighted object to have some mystery shots....
Photobucket

test the night performance with large open aperture
Photobucket

The DOF bokeh with sharp object.
Photobucket

The night with stars... the stars can be view more with large aperture.
Photobucket

large aperture to allow more lights to capture night scene.

I would say one of the best lense for Portrait in terms of the natural softness maintain with detail, but still a handy lens for artistic composition and best for portrait.
