test of 3 generation 50mm!!

as any1 have a DSLR and 2nd lense think to get is a 50mm fixed focal lense, as a expensive of f1.4. luckly have 3 generation including new owner sony 50mm f1.4. V all noe dat our beloved minolta has been take over from sony. So let c how the improvement of sony goes, or they just use same technology as minolta.
here run some test about 3 generation 50mm from minolta MD to Sony
there is alpha 100 with 3 50mm.

1st about the sharpness.

as result, minolta AF slidely abit sharp than MD n Sony.

the test on DOF.

result of DOF, Minolta MD own both AF lense!! and v can c sony quite sharp from the bokeh (do they sharpen DOF?)

now here comes the flare test. as far as v noe, our sony 50mm lense are more expensive than canon and nikon even thought they expert in DSLR territory, so v must noe r our 50mm lense worth?
flare test on full large aperture.

the result is clear!!! sony wins with less flare!!

flare test on aperture 2.5

at aperture 2.5 v can merly c sony do have flare but to compare with minolta.......... yeah sony did improve!! (estimate they using carl zeiss coating, and carl zeiss co. so long cooperate with sony.)

Final, the bokeh test. As v noe, nowadays most of the lense use circular aperture instead of other polygon shape. Y? becoz the bokeh looks more nature and circular aperture can make the bokeh more smooth.
